We already live in a tropical paradise, you know, hurricanes aside, so when a hidden Redland gem is so beautiful, even South Florida residents are impressed, you know it’s gotta be good. Deco reporter Alex Miranda took a deep dive into this soaking wet story. Alex?
It’s hot outside, so taking a dip in anything is already appealing.
But what if you spent the day at a freshwater pool even the Little Mermaid would be jealous of? No shade, Ariel.
Blue Lagoon Farm is just a hop, skip and jump down from Miami with plenty of jumps to make it worth your while.
Out in Redland…
Alberto: “It’s almost like going to the beach but better.”
… is an oasis.
Alberto: “The breeze feels great, the landscaping, the tropical fruit trees.”
Blue Lagoon Farm is like something out of a dream, with coral rock waterfalls, a grotto and this massive spring water pool.
Alberto: “I can only assume, hundreds of thousands of gallons.”
All doubling as Alberto’s backyard!
Alex Miranda: “OK, so you go in?”
Alberto: “Yeah, I go in about twice a week, because I like to do back flips and show off.”
The hole is 12 feet deep, so, no excuses!
Alex Miranda: “Just jump.”
Alberto: “I see people go to the edge, you know, put a little water on themselves.”
Alex Miranda: “That’s me! I’m such a chicken.”
Alberto: “But I tell everybody, jump in.”
Alex Miranda: “That’s death by a thousand cuts.”
Alberto: “Again, it’s only 77, 78 degrees, so it’s not freezing.”
Oh, 78 degrees, I can do! Just, no diving. That means, feet first and…
Alberto: “Alex, come on, man! Just jump!”
Ugh, fine!
Alex Miranda: “Cannonball! No big deal, just a little over 10 feet. Here we go!”
And if you’ve seen Blue Lagoon on Instagram or TikTok.
Alberto: “I want to give credit to the people who have been posting.”
Same! It’s…
Alex Miranda: “Everywhere! I just … I scroll, and there it is again! I’m like, what is this place?”
Alberto: “It’s crazy how it exploded. This year alone, and this was through July, over a million people googled Blue Lagoon Farm Miami. But there are other pretty places to take pictures, so I think our niche is fun.”
Right, like, the waterfall backdrops are a content creators’ wildest fantasy, but think bigger, y’all.
What you should also know: How exceptional this slushie is and so much more, from their rotating food trucks.
Server: “Welcome to a Whole Lotta Love Taco Tuesday at the Blue Lagoon.”
Tickets are $20 per person, and you get the run of the place, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Alberto: “From 2 years old to 70 years old, you’re going to have a good time.”
That slushie from Whole Lotta Love is to die for. It’s called The Blue Lagoon.
Blue Lagoon Farm is also open for parties too.
