South Florida's #1 News Station, WSVN 7 is looking for a Promotion Producer to join our Creative Services team. This is not an entry level position. Must have experience writing, producing and editing image spots, news teases and commercials for clients. Building Maintenance/Handyman - PT (2020-6)

We are looking for a part-time reliable handyman. We'll rely on you to assist in keeping our facilities in perfect condition by doing various odd jobs which includes repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures; also cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. Ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry among other technical skills. Position requires physical demands to exert up to 70 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to bend/crouch/or kneel, see, reach, climb and balance. Position will also require individual to run errands. A valid driver's license with a clean record & knowledge of basic computer skills required. Minimum High School Diploma required.
Maintenance Technician-PT (2020-8)

This position requires extensive experience in maintaining and troubleshooting a wide variety of broadcast equipment. Solid background in Television systems, transmissions and satellite communications required. Candidate will have to do system design. Must have advanced knowledge in video production, IT infrastructure and station automation. Knowledge of Kahuna switchers, Harris Automation, Harmonics and Grass Valley servers, Compusat preferred.
DECO Cyber/Journalist (2020-28)

Selected Candidate will assist The Cyber-Journalist/Producer in writing and entering data into the WSVN-TV website to make sure it has the latest news posted. Must have a good "news eye" for our fast paced news shows, be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, as well as work well with others. Knowledge of Sony HD cameras and non-linear editing is a must. A minimum of 2-3 years experience and a valid class "D" drivers license is required.

Candidate should be a self-motivator, able to generate unique stories with a quick turn-around for air. Must be able to wear two hats: one of a news producer with a basic grasp of current events and also an entertainment producer who is aware of what's popular in show business and pop culture. Two years minimum news writing experience preferred. Should be able to work nights and weekends when necessary.
Project Coordinator (2021-13)

Responsible for providing technical assistance, plan development and review, and construction oversight of various construction and property management projects for a large Commerce Park. Projects range from building shell construction and repairs, interior buildouts and site work. The candidate will be required to assist with the following, but not limited to; plan review and coordination, project cost review, and construction coordination and inspections. Inspect, assess and track existing buildings, sidewalks, parking lots and drainage systems & determine appropriate repairs when necessary. Interact with tenants, design professionals, contractors and prospects and assist with obtaining permits when necessary. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years within the construction industry, Building Engineering preferred. Must be able to review and understand construction plans. Candidates must be physically able to work outside and to climb ladders. Must have ability to manage multiple Projects/activities in a dynamic fast pace environment. Leasing Director (2021-14)

This position reports to the Vice President, Acquisitions, Leasing and Marketing - assisting in the marketing and leasing functions. Duties include but not limited to handle incoming calls requesting leasing information, meet with prospects to tour properties (at the Miramar Park of Commerce, Ives Plaza, Medley, Sunshine State Industrial Park and retail strip centers), work with Sunbeam's brokers and outside broker/prospect re: requirements, work up economic analysis and lease proposals (coordinate with General Contractor, Architect and Engineers for estimates as needed), prepare deal summaries for lease drafts and lease modifications, etc., work with tenant and architect for space planning and completion of construction drawings, work with construction company thru completion of renovation/ build-out, keep major real estate information bureaus (i.e., CoStar, LoopNet, etc.) updated on leasing availabilities, assist with marketing events, work with administrative assistant to maintain and update marketing materials, represent Sunbeam at trade events (CIASF, NAIOP events, SFOBA, etc.). Skills required: Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Strong analytical skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Minimum 5 years experience in commercial real estate required.

MAC computing knowledge is Preferred.
Associate Sports Producer (2021-20)

Should have small market producing skills or medium market associate producing skills. Must have experience working with producers, editors and directors. Candidate should have non-linear editing experience as well as field producing skills.
Satellite Coordinator (2021-21)
Full Time
Successful candidate will work in News Operations. Duties include, but not limited to, scheduling and recording of satellite, LiveU, Instacam and other microwave feeds. This person will coordinate live event coverage via IFB and control room communications. Also required to work with national news partners and call individual stations to get video and information. Experience or knowledge of Non-Linear editing equipment is helpful. Must have excellent communication skills and, be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. The position may also require working during holidays, states of emergency such as storms or hurricanes, and other breaking news circumstances.

Graphic Arts Designer (2021-25)

If you're a graphic artist trying to break into broadcast television, this is a chance to get your foot in the door. The WSVN 7 Design Department is looking for a skilled Graphic Designer for a Part Time position to create stills for our news broadcasts. Candidate will work with producers, editors and other designers in a fast-paced news environment and must have strong typography, spelling and composition skills. Must be dependable, able to work in a team oriented environment and take directions. Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator required. Experience in Cinema4d with After Effects compositing skills a plus. This is a M-F overnight position, but covering other shifts may be required.
Non Linear Editor - PM (2021-26)

Must have a minimum of 1-year news editing experience and a working knowledge of Edius and Aurora non-linear editing systems. AVID and Final Cut experience helpful but not required. Broadcast Communications Associates Degree or TV Production training required.

Dayside M-F Assignment Editor (2021-28)
Full Time
Develops news stories, dispatches news crews to stories, handles telephones, and monitors multiple sources for breaking news, including police and fire scanners. When possible news arises, the assignment editor works with reporters, photographers, producers, and other staff members to assign and develop story ideas. Candidate should be familiar with all social media platforms and be self-motivated. Must have excellent communications skills, be able to work in a fast paced environment and have the ability to work well with others. Candidate should also possess a working knowledge of the greater Miami market and its multi-cultural communities. Proficiency in news writing a must. Windows 10 knowledge required. Minimum of 2-3 years previous experience required.
