Graphic Arts Designer (2021-25)
Part Time
If you're a graphic artist trying to break into broadcast television, this is a chance to get your foot in the door. The WSVN 7 Design Department is looking for a skilled Graphic Designer for a Part Time position to create stills for our news broadcasts. Candidate will work with producers, editors and other designers in a fast-paced news environment and must have strong typography, spelling and composition skills. Must be dependable, able to work in a team oriented environment and take directions. Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator required. Experience in Cinema4d with After Effects compositing skills a plus. This is a M-F overnight position, but covering other shifts may be required.
Social Media Producer (2021-95)

The Social Media Producer will manage the social media output of all WSVN-TV's accounts. The candidate will work closely with all facets of the newsroom and will not only assist in disseminating news but will help curate user generated content. The candidate will need to possess strong journalism skills and a deep knowledge of platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms, etc. You will work closely with WSVN-TV on-air talent to promote best practices and grow our social footprint.

WSVN CH 7's Design Department is looking for a skilled and motivated P/T Graphic Designer to create high quality Broadcast stills for our news broadcasts. Candidate must be TEAM oriented, career driven and possess the passion and dedication that it takes to be successful. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Creating daily news and promotional graphics as well as working with producers, editors and other designers in a fast paced news environment. Must work well with others and take direction. Candidate should have strong typography and composition skills. Must be proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator. Experience in Cinema4d with After Effects compositing skills a plus. This position will require candidate to work weekends.
Photographer (2022-13)
Full Time
We are looking for a very aggressive photographer with good story telling abilities. Must have a good "news eye" for our fast paced news shows, be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, as well as work well with others. Knowledge of Sony HD cameras and non-linear editing is a must. A minimum of 2-3 years experience and a valid class "D" drivers license is required.
Studio Technician (2022-21)
Part Time
Operates live studio camera during live news shows. Must understand format of shows for proper key camera shots. Must know operation of teleprompter and equipment associated with studio. Minimum of one year television production experience required. Jimmy Jib experience preferred. Must be available nights and weekends.
Director/TD (2022-46)
Full Time
Must have 3-5 years experience as a technical newscast director for a television station. Must be able to call and punch a fast paced show with lots of changes. Experience on Kahuna switcher is a plus. Must be a team player as person must work closely with producers, camera crew, editors and other news staff. Should be available to work flexible hours, including holidays.
Digital Writer (2022-55)

Selected Candidate will assist The Cyber-Journalist/Producer in writing and entering data into the WSVN-TV website to make sure it has the latest news posted. Candidate must have excellent writing & grammar skills and be proficient in Windows 10. Applicant should also have a strong knowledge of Internet sites, and possess good web researching skills.
Weekend Sports Producer (2022-56)
Full Time
We are looking for an aggressive, creative, on-line show producer. Should have medium market producing skills. Heavy emphasis on show stacking, tease writing, as well as non-linear editing. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to meet deadlines. A Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of two (2) years experience as a TV News Producer required.
Writer (2022-59)
Part Time
Writes copy for newscasts and assists producers in the production of shows. This is an entry-level position, but applicants must have solid broadcast writing skills, be willing to work all hours, and want to learn the business from the ground up. Must be proficient in Windows 10. Our writers are considered for future producer openings, so those with a strong interest in producing should apply.
Assignment Desk Editor - Today In Florida (2022-60)

Develops news stories. Monitors police and fire scanners. Dispatches news crews to stories. Handles telephones. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in news writing required. Must available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to work different shifts as needed within short notice in a fast paced news market. Candidate should also possess a working knowledge of the greater Miami market and its multi-cultural communities & must have the ability to work well with others. Windows XP knowledge required. Minimum of 2-3 years previous experience required.

Must have advanced knowledge in video production, IT infrastructure and station automation. Knowledge of Kahuna switchers, Harris Automation, Harmonics and Grass Valley servers, Compusat preferred.
Non Linear Editor - PM (2022-68)

Must have a minimum of 1-year news editing experience and a working knowledge of Edius and Aurora non-linear editing systems. AVID and Final Cut experience helpful but not required. Broadcast Communications Associates Degree or TV Production training required.

Duties include, but not limited to, developing sales strategies for new business development to advertising agencies and clients. Research emerging businesses to build a pipeline of potential new clients. Cultivate client relationships to enhance WSVN's position in the marketplace.
