The WSVN 7 Design Department is looking for a skilled Graphic Designer for a Part Time position to create stills for our news broadcasts. Candidate will work with producers, editors and other designers in a fast-paced news environment and must have strong typography, spelling and composition skills. Must be dependable, able to work in a team oriented environment and take directions. Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator required. Experience in Cinema4d with After Effects compositing skills a plus. This is a M-F overnight position, but covering other shifts may be required.

Operates live studio camera during live news shows. Must understand format of shows for proper key camera shots. Must know operation of teleprompter and equipment associated with studio. Minimum of one year television production experience required. Jimmy Jib experience preferred. Must be available nights and weekends.

Develops news stories. Monitors police and fire scanners. Dispatches news crews to stories. Handles telephones. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in news writing required. Must be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to work different shifts as needed within short notice in a fast-paced news market. Candidate should also possess a working knowledge of a greater Miami market and its multi-cultural communities and must have the ability to work well with others. Windows XP knowledge required. Minimum of 2-3 years previous experience required.

Selected Candidate will assist The Cyber-Journalist/Producer in writing and entering data into the WSVN-TV website to make sure it has the latest news posted. Candidate must have excellent writing & grammar skills and be proficient in Windows 10. Applicant should also have a strong knowledge of Internet sites, and possess good web researching skills.

Looking for a candidate with small to medium market experience in television news writing - - with a strong interest in producing. This is an extraordinary opportunity to train to produce in a fast paced, big market newsroom.

Duties will include: -Intensive writing, mostly packages -Will assist writers with vo's and vosot's in various newscasts -Will act as a liaison between reporters, the newsdesk and producers when it comes to ordering key pre-production elements -Extensive logging and turning around any elements from 'in house' (feeds, news conferences, etc.) to reporters in the field via the cloud -Will act as a newsroom 'field producer' - - and may be called upon to handle interviews via zoom (both setting up and conducting any interviews) -Able to jump in and assist producers in any aspect of getting the product on television

This is a very intensive, high energy, hands on type of position that requires impeccable communication and organizational skills.

Must have a minimum of 1-year news editing experience and a working knowledge of Edius and Aurora non-linear editing systems. AVID and Final Cut experience helpful but not required. Broadcast Communications Associates Degree of TV Production training required.

South Florida's News Station, WSVN 7 is looking for a Post Production Editor / Vizrt operator to assist with on-air production. The candidate must be able to work under pressure during live shows and be able to meet deadlines on a daily basis. Knowledge of Premiere Pro, After Effects and MAC OS system required. Overall P.C. MAC computing knowledge is Preferred.
