Biography

Marisela Burgos joined 7 News as a general assignment reporter in April 2019. She is ecstatic to be back home in South Florida and working at a legacy station -one she grew up watching. She graduated from Charles W. Flanagan High School in Pembroke Pines and Florida International University.

Before joining WSVN, she spent four years in Tampa as a reporter for ABC Action News. Her career has taken her to a number of cities, including Indianapolis, Indiana, Louisville, Kentucky, and Greenville, North Carolina. During her career, she was nominated for an AP award for Best Investigative News story, as well as two Emmy nominations. One of those stories dug deep into car seat standards and testing.
