Biography
Courtney Allen is a four-time Emmy-nominated investigative reporter who joined WSVN in November 2025.
Prior to WSVN, Courtney was the weekend evening anchor and investigative reporter at the NBC affiliate in Nashville, Tennessee. While in Nashville, Courtney exclusively uncovered multiple car booting companies operating illegally. Her reporting led to hundreds of people getting refunds and a change to state law. Courtney’s coverage was cited by the state attorney general in subsequent court paperwork defending the new law that now generally prohibits car booting in Tennessee.
Courtney also reported extensively on home improvement issues in Tennessee. Her coverage led to multiple contractors being charged with felony theft after allegedly taking people’s money but never completing the work. Several people received restitution as a result. One home improvement story was even picked up by Tyler Perry, who ended up covering the family’s mortgage after seeing Courtney’s report.
Courtney also previously worked in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Greenville, North Carolina. She started her broadcasting career in Baton Rouge, Louisiana after graduating from Louisiana State University. Geaux Tigers!
Courtney enjoys traveling, exercising, trying new restaurants and spending time with her black female Labrador Retriever, Dauphine, who she named after a street in New Orleans.
