HOLLYWOOD, FLA. (WSVN) - Officials from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission have identified the woman who washed up on the shore of Hollywood Beach on Wednesday.
FWC officials identified the victim as 30-year-old Kellie Melinda Williams.
Williams was found dead in the surf near North Boardwalk and Thomas Street on Hollywood Beach on June 3, just after 8 p.m.
Originally from California, Williams moved to the East and worked as a flight attendant for American Airlines.
Williams spent much of her time in the sky, but with one look at her social media page, anyone could see how much she loved spending time in the water.
FWC officials said Williams’ injuries were consistent with a strike from a boat.
Her body was spotted along the shoreline by two fishermen who immediately called the police.
The area was blocked off with crime scene tape on Wednesday evening.
According to detectives, Williams may have been snorkeling or diving before her death.
American Airlines released this statement:
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague. Our thoughts and support are with her family, loved ones, and colleagues at this time.”
FWC is encouraging anyone with information on what happened or if you saw anything to give them a call at (888)-402-3922. You can remain anonymous.
