The winds are starting to relax and for today along the coast we have no boating advisories. Only the risk of rip currents for swimmers will be present. For the Florida Keys, the winds will remain breezy with a small craft advisory in effect. Along the breeze, we also can’t rule seeing an isolated shower.

By Friday, a weak cold front approaches north Florida. Most of the computer models have delayed its arrival. Now it is expected to reach South Florida Friday night into Saturday night leaving us with a chance of on and off showers. The rain chance is up to a 40 percent. Conditions will gradually improve on Sunday. However, the weekend will not be a complete washout. Temperatures will feel cool-ish on Sunday through next week overnight.

Tropical Update: A non-tropical area of low pressure located about 1000 miles northeast of the northern Leeward islands is producing gale-force winds and widespread clouds and shower activity. It is moving into the central Atlantic Ocean and only has a low chance to form during the next 5 days.

Have a wonderful day South Florida and make it a safe one!
