Local Weather:

Summer-like storms possible once again in the afternoon. We have high pressure in place around the southeast United States and that will keep the air flow off of the ocean. This will maintain the moisture around and do just enough to fuel showers and storms in the afternoon through Thursday.

Models keep insisting that a tropical wave will keep our rain chances high for Friday. If the moisture holds with the tropical wave currently over Hispaniola, we could be dealing with more showers and storms from Friday and into the weekend.

Tropical Update:

A tropical wave near the Cape Verde Islands is producing disorganized showers and storms. Environmental conditions are expected to become favorable for gradual development of this system, and tropical depression could form over the weekend while it moves west-northwest toward the central tropical Atlantic. The National Hurricane Center is giving it a high chance to form in the next 5 days.

Have a wonderful day South Florida and make it a safe one!
