Local Weather: Why the strong wind? We have a large pressure difference taking place. There is high pressure centered over the southeastern United States and broad low pressure located over the Caribbean Sea. This helps to funnel in the clouds and wind across South Florida. Unfortunately speedy showers on and off will be possible through the weekend, as well as, beach and boating advisories because of the wind.

By Monday, the forecast is looking spooktacular! High pressure is expected to strengthen and draw in drier air. Winds will also relax some… This means great weather for trick-or-treating events. Enjoy!

Tropical Update: Disorganized showers and storms located over the southwestern Caribbean Sea is associated with a broad area of low pressure centered about a hundred miles north of the coast of Honduras. Development is not expected due to harsh environmental conditions. However, clouds and rain will spread across portions of the eastern Yucatan peninsula, Cuba, the Cayman Islands, and Jamaica through the weekend. The National Hurricane Center is giving this area a zero percent chance to form.

Have a wonderful day South Florida and make it a safe one!
