Biography

Dannielle Garcia is extremely happy and honored to be back home in Miami. She joined 7 News as a general assignment reporter in July 2022, a long time dream of hers.

Before joining WSVN, she spent 3 years in Fort Myers as the crime reporter at WINK News. Dannielle covered a variety of stories from the the Brian Laundrie/ Gabby Petito case to flying with the US Coast Guard during unprecedent migration. It is there where she developed a passion to helping families get justice and bringing a voice to those who need the platform.

Dannielle graduated from International Studies Charter High School in Miami and got her bachelor’s degree from Loyola University of New Orleans. She got her career started in Lafayette, Louisiana at KATC because she couldn’t resist the culture and diversity (and great food!) of Louisiana. Prior to that she interned in newsrooms at Telemundo Network in Miami; ESPN in Bristol, CT and at WDSU in New Orleans.

Dannielle is a proud Thai-Cuban American from Miami. She is a huge animal lover who loves to travel, spend time with her big family and with her rescue pup Aria, of course!
