The workweek has finally come to a close! Not only is the weekend here, but the weather is forecast to be a nice one. While conditions won’t be as damp as they were earlier in the week, south Florida can still expect morning showers and inland storms during the afternoon hours.
The same can’t be said for those in the Upper Midwest and the Northeast. Currently, a front is on the move and expected to bring severe storms to the area. They can experience anytime downpours and gusty winds this weekend.
Looking at the Tropics, your Storm Station is tracking 1 and watching 2. As of Friday morning, Fiona maintains its tropical storm strength in the central Atlantic. This system is quickly moving West/Northwest and well away from south Florida. It poses no threat to us!
The other 2 are near and off the coast of Africa. As these areas of clouds and rain travel deeper into warmer waters, formation chances are forecast to increase. Your Storm Station will keep a close eye on these systems.
