DURHAM, N.C. (AP) – Brandon Lopez singled home the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning and Miami rallied to beat Notre Dame 6-5 on Saturday at the Atlantic Coast Conference baseball tournament.

The second-seeded Hurricanes (44-14) led 4-3 entering the ninth and gave up two runs to the third-seeded Fighting Irish before coming back to win.

Christopher Barr led off the ninth with a homer off reliever Brad Bass that tied it for Miami. Zack Collins walked, advanced to second when David Thompson was hit by a pitch and moved to third on Garrett Kennedy’s single.

Lopez followed with his one-out single to right-center field that scored Collins with the winning run.

Ryan Bull tied it at 4 in the top of the ninth for Notre Dame (36-20), and Robert Youngdahl’s RBI single gave the Fighting Irish a short-lived 5-4 lead.
