BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WSVN) — After feeling his car was “disrespected,” Bloomfield Township Police said a Uber driver stabbed his passenger five times.
According to WDIV, police arrested 23-year-old Uber driver Jacob Matthew Allemon after stabbing his passenger Saturday morning at around 1:30 a.m. The 49-year-old victim suffered multiple stab wounds to his chest, back, and face.
A police report stated that the victim and his wife requested the Uber ride after a party. Allemon arrived after accepting the Uber request, when the victim tapped on the window of Allemon’s 2012 Honda Civic to alert the driver they were entering his car. Shortly after driving into a parking lot, Allemon became confrontational with the victim, ordering him and his wife out of the car for ‘disrespecting’ his vehicle by tapping on the window. When the victim asked if they could wait until another Uber arrived due to a snowstorm, the police report stated that’s when Allemon stabbed him.
Police said he is expected to recover from the injuries.
Allemon has been arraigned on the charge of assault with intent to do harm less than murder. His bond was set at $250,000.
