MIAMI (WSVN) — Police have located the stolen Miami-Dade Police cruiser that was stolen from an officer’s home, Monday.

7Skyforce flew over the scene where the cruiser was found in a canal, located near 192nd Avenue and Southwest 336th Street, Tuesday, at around 2:30 p.m.

Miami-Dade Police officers have responded to the scene.

On Monday, a Miami-Dade Police officer, who lives in the area of Southwest 276th Street and 167th Avenue, awoke for work to find an empty driveway, at around 8:30 am..

According to officials, the officer’s 2008 Ford Crown Victoria, which contained a helmet and bulletproof vest, was missing.

That cruiser has now been found submerged in a body of water. No one was found inside.
