TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is going to be part of President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team.

Trump announced Friday that Bondi will serve on the executive committee of the team responsible for setting up his new administration.

Bondi, who was first elected in 2010, was the first high-profile Republican in Florida to back Trump. She appeared with him at several campaign events in the Sunshine State ahead of the election. Trump won Florida by nearly 120,000 votes over Hillary Clinton.

Bondi, who was friends with Trump prior to his bid for president, could win a job in his administration. She is scheduled to leave office in early 2019 due to term limits.

Bondi came under scrutiny this year for a $25,000 campaign contribution she received from Trump back in 2013.
