MIAMI (WSVN) — Miami Police set up a perimeter after three minors, one armed with a firearm, robbed two other minors, Tuesday afternoon.

One suspect is currently in custody while the other two are still at large. Police set up a perimeter to find the two suspects around Flagler Street and Northwest 21st Avenue, but the perimeter has been taken down after the two suspects were not found.

Officials said that the victims were walking home when they were approached by the three subjects who allegedly robbed them of a cellphone and backpack. The victims were not injured. ""They were surprised by three young men," Miami officer Kenia Fallat said. "Now these three young men, one of them was sporting a gun and pointed at these two youngsters and demanded all their belongings."

Citrus Grove Middle and Elementary Schools were both place on lockdown, but it has since been lifted. "There was three kids from high school. They were all armed and robbed somebody’s phone, but they were all armed," said student Gabriel Trejo. "They found out where one of them was and the other two started running in these back streets right there, and then they haven’t found them."

The two other young men are described as being between the ages of 16 and 18 years old. "Time and time again, we’re seeing these things happen way to often and we want the community to come together and to assist us with information if they know about these other two young men," Fallat said.
