MIAMI (WSVN) — Police are searching the area of Northwest Miami-Dade after two of three armed suspects from a recent carjacking bailed out by foot.

According to Miami Police, around 11 p.m., Thursday night, a couple was carjacked by three armed black males. The men carjacked the couple’s black Ford F-150.

Friday morning, an officer noticed the truck with three men inside, parked in front of a house. Once the officer asked the men to get out of the vehicle, they fled on foot. A Miami Police officer said, “One of our officers was in the area and spotted precisely the same vehicle,” she said. “When she attempted to stop it, they stopped and bailed out”

A perimeter was then set up at Northwest Second Avenue and 75th Street. “As of right now we have an active perimeter,” said the officer. “We have one person contained, but the other two remain at large.”

Police K-9 officers and Miami Police helicopters searched the area until around noon but never found the two other subjects.

Police are still searching for the other two men. If you have any information on this carjacking, call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
