BOCA RATON, FLA. (WSVN) - Shots have reportedly been fired near businesses in Boca Raton, Wednesday morning.
At around 9:30 a.m., police responded to shots fired at the Boca Center, located near the 23200 Block of State Road 7. When deputies arrived, they learned that the suspect may still be inside one of the business buildings.
All occupants have reportedly safely evacuated.
SWAT team and police are currently investigating the situation. A bomb squad robot was used to enter one of the buildings, but the suspected gunman was nowhere to be found inside the Boca Center and police gave the all clear.
State Road 7 has since opened after being shutdown in both directions in the area, but there is still a large police presence in the area.
