ELLIOTT KEY, Fla. (WSVN) – A large group of migrants have reportedly come ashore near Elliott Key, Thursday afternoon.
7Skyforce HD was over the scene where 18 migrants came ashore. There were boats reportedly seen three miles from the northern tip of Elliott Key.
Just after 12:20 p.m., Thursday, the group walked down a trail towards the Ranger Station. Officials have given water to the group.
The area near the Ranger Station has been roped off as the investigation remains ongoing.
Officials believe the migrants may have been smuggled ashore.
