TAMARAC, Fla. (WSVN) — Police have released the 911 call after, they said, a drunk driver slammed into a car killing a teenager.

7News was on the scene as 40-year-old Conan Acevedo posted his $50,000 bond, Monday night.

Multiple people called 911, including Acevedo:

911 operator: “911, what’s your emergency?”

Caller: “Yeah, I’m on Northwest 70th Avenue and McNab Road ,and I just hit somebody.”

911 operator: “OK sir, are there any injuries? Do we need an ambulance sir?”

Caller: “Yes, yes, we do need an ambulance.”

911 Operator: “How many people in the black Honda?”

Caller: “Uh… (inaudible) How many people are in there? One.”

Acevedo is accused off running a red light on West McNab Road and 70th Avenue in Tamarac, Sunday, and slammed into another car.

The driver of the other car, 18-year-old Nicolas Garcia, was taken to Broward Health Medical Center where he later died.
