HALLANDALE BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - Three Hallandale Beach Police Officers will not face criminal charges in a fatal 2012 shooting, a Broward County grand jury decided on Thursday.

The jury deemed Sgt. Brian Hubbert, Sgt. Timothy Church and Officer Raymond Buckley were justified in their decision and actions in the Sept. 6, 2012 incident.

The officers responded to the Wal-Mart in Hallandale Beach after store employees accused Hialeah resident Eduardo Prieto Jr. of shoplifting. A dispatcher had told the law enforcers that the subject was armed with a knife and gun.

Prieto, 32, then drove away from the Wal-Mart and led police on a chase that ended at a restaurant where, authorities said, the officers shot Prieto 20 times.
