WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - Passengers experienced scary moments on a plane in West Palm Beach, Thursday night.
The pilot touched down on the tarmac hard after, officials said, the landing gear malfunctioned at Palm Beach International Airport. The plane was stuck sideways, and passengers on board were on the tarmac for three hours.
Passenger Brad Heisle recounted the tense moments. “We landed, there was a loud boom. The plane started shaking like crazy, and then we just got stuck on the tarmac for the last three hours,” he said passenger. “I’m just thankful we didn’t flip over. I think the pilot did a great job.”
A bus soon after arrived on the scene to take passengers to the terminal. They were flying in from Charlotte, N.C.
No one was hurt.
