DEERFIELD BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - A babysitter has been charged after causing a fatal crash while under the influence.
Shirley Coto was charged with vehicular manslaughter and DUI. The 39-year-old is now behind bars at the Broward County jail without bond.
According to police, this happened in May of 2015, when Coto was driving drunk with four kids she was baby-sitting and collided with another car at West Hillsboro Boulevard, near Southwest 32nd Avenue in Deerfield Beach.
A 6-year-old girl did not survive, while two other kids, ages 4 and 6, were hospitalized for weeks.
