DAVIE, FLA. (WSVN) - Students, parents and residents of Broward County came together at Western High School, Tuesday, to distribute groceries and food gift cards to those in need.

The annual Harvest Drive is a yearlong project involving schools across the district. Those in need came to the high school in Davie to pick up food just in time for Thanksgiving.

“It’s something different you get to do,. It’s different than just donating money,” one student said. “You get to do hands on work for people who really deserve it and need it.”

The Harvest Drive has been held for the last 24 years.
