COCONUT CREEK, Fla. (WSVN) — Two raccoons were rescued from a vehicle in Coconut Creek, Monday.

The two critters were struck by a car overnight, and were discovered by a neighbor in the Sorbet at Winston Park community, early Monday.

Firefighters found one raccoon hanging from the grill and the other stuck in the engine compartment. Both were freed from the car.

One raccoon ran off while the other was placed into a bin to be picked up by an animal rescue group.
