DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Two men are dead and a teenager is recovering from injuries following a crash in a construction zone along Interstate 95 near Daytona Beach.

Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Kim Montes said in a news release that 56-year-old Alfred Weaver drove his box truck for unknown reasons into a construction zone on Tuesday evening. The truck slammed into a pickup truck where construction workers were sitting.

Montes says both Weaver and the pickup truck driver, 57-year-old Clay Suber died. She says 19-year-old Patrick Tucker was taken to Halifax Medical Center with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
