MIAMI (WSVN) — Local volunteers will be joining women Saturday at another Habitat for Humanity construction site for National Women Build Week.
Thousands of women have been volunteering across Miami-Dade County this week, helping build affordable houses in their communities.
Saturday, Lowe’s and Baptist Health South Florida will team up with the women and several volunteers to build the 10th Women Build home in Miami. The future home is located at 2047 NW 69 Terrace. Construction begins at 7:30 a.m.
Habitat’s National Women Build program inspires women to help out low-income families who need a home.
During National Women Build Week, Lowe’s has donated more than $1.75 million to 300 Habitat affiliates across the U.S.
