MIAMI (WSVN) — The Miami-Dade Expressway authority has approved a 70 cent toll per collection point on the Dolphin Expressway.
Up until now, many drivers paid no toll, because they got on and off SR 836 without passing through a collection point.
The decision made on Tuesday means everyone who uses the expressway will pay a fee as the expressway transitions to electronic tolling.
The new charges will begin next summer.
