MIAMI (WSVN) - A South Florida church is keeping the faith, days after, officials said, it was targeted by burglars.

Members of the Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church, located near Northwest 51st Street and 17th Avenue in Miami, attended Sunday service, days after the devastating break-in. The thieves ransacked the house of worship and took off with thousands of dollars in equipment.

The church’s pastor, Dr. W. Edward Mitchell Jr., said the congregation is ready to move forward. “I looked on the faces of the members this morning, and I’m reading shock on their faces,” he said. “There’s a lot of pastoral care and shepherd work that I have to do to help restore our church and our faith.”

The church has set up a GoFundMe page hoping the community will help them rebuild.
