MIAMI (WSVN) - Miami Police had to shutdown U.S. 1 at 37th Avenue for almost two hours after a vehicle overturned in a hit-and-run accident.

The incident happened at around 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, and involved three drivers. Crews were able to flip one overturned vehicle that was spilling fuel, while another car sustained damage.

7News was told that a third vehicle fled the scene and hit a road sign.

Police have not confirmed the location of the hit-and-run driver.

According to Miami Fire Rescue, no one has been transported from the accident.

Police had to divert traffic at 42nd and 37th avenues, as they investigated and crews worked to clear the scene.

The road was reopened at around 1 p.m.
