MIAMI (WSVN) - A little boy’s mother and grandmother accused of kidnapping the child reached a plea agreement in court, Monday.

Leydibet Hernandez and Lazara Ortiz pleaded guilty to interfering with custody of a minor. They will both serve one year of house arrest followed by one year of probation.

Authorities said Hernandez, who lost custody of her 21-month-old son, snatched him from a crib at a home in Miami back in March. They said her mother helped her buy bus tickets.

Hernandez was arrested while heading to Texas with the child with plans of crossing the border to Mexico.
