HOMESTEAD, FLA. (WSVN) - The Kiwanis Club of Little Havana spread a little Christmas cheer Saturday as they traveled through Homestead.

Volunteers came together for a traveling holiday caravan, making several stops in Homestead. During each stop, children got the chance to meet Santa and receive a special gift.

Participants said they loved spreading holiday joy.

“This is something that will brighten their day,” said Jerry Fernandez, the president of the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana. “They don’t always get this opportunity to see Santa in person and get a great toy for Christmas, so we love to help out and facilitate that for them.”

The Kiwanis International Organization has been around for more than 40 years serving the underprivileged children of South Florida.
