MIAMI (WSVN) - A driver was rushed to the hospital after crashing into the Miami Arts Charter School.
According to officials, the vehicle struck the side of the building near North Miami Avenue and Northwest 23rd Street, Thursday morning.
Miami Fire Rescue responded to the scene, just before 9:30 a.m. Crews managed to free the driver, who suffered a serious arm injury, and transported him to Ryder Trauma Center.
School officials said the impact caused damage to the campus lobby, where the school’s security guard was located. He was not injured.
Miami-Dade Police are investigating the crash.
