MIRAMAR, FLA. (WSVN) - Police have released a sketch of an armed man who shot a woman multiple times in an attempt to rob her.

Miramar Police released a sketch of the man they said shot the victim three times after he tried to rob her of her gold necklace while she was out jogging.

She was jogging near Southwest 30th Street and Monarch Lakes Boulevard, on July 17, at around 10 a.m. According to the flyer, the suspect exited a car and demanded the victim’s gold necklace, but when she refused, the suspect struck her in the face before shooting her.

The suspect fled the scene empty-handed in the vehicle that was driven by an unknown driver. The woman survived the shooting.
