DEERFIELD BEACH, FLA. (WSVN) - An armed man demanded cash and ordered a customer to get on his knees before handing over cash at a 7-Eleven store.

The armed robber walked into the convenience store at 900 S.W. 10th St., around 10 a.m., July 12.

A surveillance camera captured the young man as he handed employees two empty bags to be filled with money from the cash register.

One customer was in the back of the store using the ATM. He told 7News that the robber forced him to kneel down during the robbery. “He sees me, and he said, ‘Hey, sir, what are you doing?’ That’s why I was thinking in my head already, ‘Oh, OK, this is the last moment of my life,'” Maxim Tkachenko said. “How do you know what these people think in their heads? They could shoot you and leave.”

According to deputies, the man was wearing a gray sweatshirt with black markings on it and covered his face.

No one was injured and no shots were fired. According to Tkachenko, the man took one of the bags of cash and left the other one behind.

If you have any information on this armed robbery, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Remember, you can always remain anonymous, and you may be eligible for a $3,000 reward.
