CUTLER BAY, Fla. (WSVN) — Two dogs said to have been part of a pack of loose dogs that claimed the life of a family pet were removed from their Cutler Bay home, Friday and humanely euthanized by Miami-Dade Animal Services.

Officials acted on a request from the dogs’ owner.

Their owner faces a hefty fine after his pets allegedly mauled a neighbor’s dog, who lived just a block away.

Ronald Walker, the owner of Rusty, the dog killed in the attack, said he will never forget the scene. “I still see that picture in my mind of what my dog had to go through, and I couldn’t help him,” said Walker. “He was bleeding so badly. He was punctured in the neck.”

Surveillance video from a neighboring home caught the moments leading up to the attack.

Walker’s mixed breed dog died after being taken to an animal hospital.
