MIAMI (WSVN) — The Sunshine State ranked #5 among the top ten states most likely to be living paycheck to paycheck in the United States, according to GoBankingRates.com

The study collected data to rank all 50 states in a range of categories, including median household income and the cost of housing, food, transportation, utilities, and healthcare.

Florida’s results show a low median household income of $46,140 with $593 (33 percent) of it going to the cost of housing, food costs averaging $183 (10 percent) per paycheck, transportation at $330 (19 percent) and healthcare costs at $150 (8 percent), according to the study.
