MIAMI (WSVN) — Carnival Cruise Lines will be changing course with a new CEO.

Effective July 3, Micky Arison will no longer be in charge of the organization. He will be replaced by Arnold Donald, who has been on the board for the last 12 years.

Arison, who is also the owner of the Miami Heat, will remain Chairman of the board.

He became Carnival’s CEO in 1979 when the company owned just three ships.
