8 Cuban migrants reach U.S. soil in Islamorada

ISLAMORADA, Fla. (WSVN) — Eight Cuban migrants reached U.S. soil in the Florida Keys, Monday morning.

According to Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, a group of eight Cuban migrants touched down in Islamorada. The group of seven men and one woman were turned over to U.S. border patrol shortly after they reached land.

A 7News viewer sent pictures of the brightly painted boat the migrants used to reach U.S. soil.
