Showtime

(WSVN) - Now the question is: Can Lupita rule as queen of the box office this weekend? It’ll be tough — because there are four other movies hitting the big screen. Here’s a look in this week’s Showtime.

David Maldonado (as Kuchta): “Everybody off this!”

The Deepwater Horizon explosion caused the worst oil spill in American history. Now the accident is the basis of a new movie starring Mark Wahlberg and Kate Hudson.

The film focuses on the men and women who fought for survival over impossible odds.

Eva Green (as Miss Alma LeFay Peregrine): “We’re what’s known in common parlance as peculiar.”

Peculiar is a good thing in Tim Burton’s new movie, “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.” He takes us to a land filled with crazy creatures and kids who have extraordinary abilities — and the director tells Deco, that’s not the only peculiar thing about this film.

Tim Burton: “Well, just making a film is peculiar and working with the people, you know if you’ve ever been on a film set, it’s not only the cast, it’s the crew who are weird as well. It’s like a weird big dysfunctional family.”

Zach Galifianakis (as David Ghantt): “You’re talking about robbing a bank.”

Owen Wilson (as Steve): “How hard can it be?”

Turns out… not that hard!

In “Masterminds” Zach Galifianakis plays an armored car driver who is lured into a mega heist by a hot babe and her boyfriend played by Owen Wilson.

And Zach quickly learns — it’s not the crime … it’s the coverup!

Who says you can’t go home again?

Set down under in the 50s, Kate Winslet plays a woman coming home cultured, much better dressed … and suspected of murder in “The Dressmaker.”

Oh yeah, it also stars Liam Hemsworth in a clothing-optional role.

Liam Hemsworth (as Teddy McSwiney): “Trousers off too?”

Kate Winslet (as Myrtle ‘Tilly’ Dunnage): “No!”

Judy Davis (as Molly Dunnage): “Yes!”
