(WSVN) - This year, the Winterfest Boat Parade is celebrating its 45th year. Pitbull is the grand marshal, and “Comics and Cartoons” is the theme! But before the big parade on Saturday, the Black Tie Ball kicked thing’s off. This year’s theme: cabaret.

It was a night of cabaret as the Winterfest Black Tie Ball lit up the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Saturday night.

Shireen Sandoval to Santa: “I want the new iPhone.”

Santa: “Everyone wants the new iPhone.”

First there was a cocktail party, then the main event, which I was lucky enough to host.

Shireen Sandoval: “Good evening!”

Transforming the space, which is Hard Rock’s gi-normous concert venue, is no easy task.

Shireen Sandoval: “Let’s count the streamers, 1, 2, 3… We will be here all night. How many streamers?”

Susan Renneisen, decorator: “There are thousands and thousands! I’m gonna say about 50, 60,000.”

Shireen Sandoval: “Wow, now that is a party.”

Along with thousands of streamers and sexy decor, these amazing performers entertained the crowd.

Lisa Scott-Founds, Winterfest President/CEO: “We actually flew in leads from Broadway and ‘Cabaret,’ live from New York.”

Every year, the ball, which is the precursor to the Winterfest Boat Parade in Fort Lauderdale, seems to get bigger and better.

Chris Osceola: “It’s the premiere event in South Florida. Everybody looks forward to this event every year, and for us to be a part of it just makes it super special.”

It also happened to be Bob’s birthday!

From a beautiful ball, to this weekend’s bedazzled boats, the holidays have officially begun!

Happy Winterfest!
