MIAMI (WSVN) - A paddleboarder who never returned to end her rental has been found safe after multiple agencies joined in the search.
City of Miami and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue departments, along with Miami-Dade Police and the U.S. Coast Guard, responded to reports of a missing paddleboarder near the Rickenbacker Causeway and Miami Seaquarium around 2 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Divers searched the water for the woman after a paddle board company said she rented a board around 11:30 a.m. but never returned. The woman had left her license behind with the company.
Police later found the woman at home. It is unclear why she did not return to the paddle board company.
