There are two things Lynn loves: soapy TV dramas and ice cream. It would be awesome to eat ice cream with the star of a soapy TV drama. And that’s just what Deco’s Chris Van Vliet did today. Hey Chris.
Like most days here at Deco Drive, it was a dream come true. I was screaming for ice cream! I spent the afternoon eating free ice cream with the lovely Roselyn Sanchez. And here’s the best part, there’s free ice cream for you too!
Chris Van Vliet: “This is incredible — hot day in Miami and free ice cream!”
Roselyn Sanchez: “Free ice cream! I know, I love it! Try the strawberry shortcake, it’s amazing and my daughter likes the Klondike.”
She’s smart, she’s sexy and she’s handing out free ice cream. How can you not love Roselyn Sanchez? She’s the honorary Good Humor Woman helping to kick off their “Welcome to Joyhood Tour” in Miami. From now until Sept. 18, they’re surprising people with free frozen treats!
Chris Van Vliet: “I believe we have six different ice cream flavors to choose from. So, how do you choose?”
Roselyn Sanchez: “Whatever has the most sugar … no I’m just kidding. That’s terrible.”
Chris Van Vliet: “A woman after my own heart!”
Roselyn Sanchez: “I love all of them, you can never go wrong with ice cream.”
She is so right about that! So instead of just talking about ice cream, we should probably eat some.
Roselyn Sanchez: “Double caramel magnum. Cheers! Uno, dos, y tres. Good?”
Chris Van Vliet: “So good! It’s not even fair how good this is!”

Roselyn Sanchez: “We knew that we had something special. It was the first time that it was five latinas as the leads with an American network behind it. So we were hoping, and that’s all you can do. Do good work and then hope and it wasn’t easy. In the beginning we got a lot of backlash because the community wasn’t really happy about ‘Why are they playing maids?’ and it was the second they saw the show and they realized it’s comedy. We are strong, independent, wonderful, intelligent women — everybody chilled.”
The show just wrapped up its fourth season.
Chris Van Vliet: “What is the most devious thing that has happened on the set of ‘Devious Maids’?
Roselyn Sanchez: “Nothing. We are really good girls.”
Chris Van Vliet: “Oh come on!”
I think the hardest part for me was deciding which one to eat. So don’t tell anyone. But I had three, including the one you saw in the story there.
