I’m not gonna lie. I’m not a fan of Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. Not because there aren’t lots of great places to eat, drink and be merry but because it’s such a headache. Too much construction, not enough parking, and too many cars equals way more congestion than I care to deal with (yes, I know I sound like an old lady right about now). But Chef Michael Schwartz has given me reason to stop my “Brickell Bitching” by way of Fi’lia, his new Italian eatery at the SLS Brickell.

The highlights include:
Tableside Caesar salad $20 prepared old school right next to you with croutons toasted right on the cart Sam’s Chicken Parm $23, don’t know who “Sam” is but thank you Sam Meatballs $15 who doesn’t love a good meatball Wild Mushroom Pizza $18 thin, crispy perfection made in Fi’lia’s wood burning oven

Fi’lia is Schwartz’s 6th Miami restaurant so obviously the James Beard award-winning chef must be doing something right. Fi’lia I’m feelin’ ya!
