“Thirsty Thursday” is in full swing for south Florida as many of you woke up to plenty of rain and to the rumbles of thunder. As July continues to be dry with below normal rainfall, this activity was definitely welcomed!
Still keep the rain gear handy. Each afternoon, hazards will include a risk of frequent lightning strikes and gusty winds.
Why the umbrella weather? Moisture from a disturbance over the Florida Straits is to blame. Better question: is a wet weekend ahead?
Start repeating “rain, rain, go away!”. While your plans don’t include damp days, rain chances are forecast to be higher than normal through Sunday.
South Florida may not have been quiet with Thursday’s active radar, but at least the Tropics are! Blocking any development, Saharan dust continues to be our friend.
