HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WSVN) — A mannequin challenge by armed gunmen launched a month-long investigation in Alabama that landed two people in jail.

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, a mannequin challenge video posted online depicted several men armed with various types of handguns and even an assault weapon in Huntsville, Alabama.

Deputies discovered the video after someone tipped them off to it about a month ago. Once deputies obtained a search warrant, they went to go seize the house with an armored SWAT force.

“At 5:02 this morning, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team, the City of Huntsville Police Department’s SWAT team, and also ATF were present when we executed the search warrant at that residence,” said Capt. Mike Salomonsky of the Madison County’s Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities found six people, including children, inside of the home.

But, that’s not all.

According to Salomonsky, they also found two handguns, an assault rifle believed to be .223 caliber, a single barrel shotgun, packs of marijuana, ammunition, magazines and an attack vest.

Authorities initially arrested two men, a 49-year-old and a 23-year-old, and they believe there may be more arrests to come.

“We are continuing the investigation at this time,” said Salomonsky. “We are expecting one, maybe two more arrests.”
