PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (WSVN) — A small plane on a runway at North Perry Airport had landing gear issues, Tuesday afternoon.

7’s Skyforce HD hovered above the twin engine aircraft, at around 4:30 p.m., after Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue, ramp police and patrol officials had responded to the scene.

Officials said the plane’s right landing gear collapsed at it landed. They said the right wing and the propeller gave way when the plane landed.

Two men were on board and were able to exit the aircraft safely. The plane is registered from Colombia.

Officials stabilized the wing before towing the plane off the runway.

No airport operations were affected due to the rough landing. The other three runways are in full operation.

An investigation into the cause of the landing gear collapse is underway.
