Martin Amado: "The majority of us have a need for a home office but we still want it to compliment the rest of the decor. On today’s ‘Room for Improvement’, we are creating a stylish and functional work space in this niche right across from the kitchen."
Martin Amado: "At the moment, the kitchen counter functions as a desk for the homeowner. Yet, we have all this empty space that we can totally take advantage of and I have just the furniture for it."
Martin Amado: "Instead of buying a traditional desk, I chose this counter-height table because of it’s modern look."
Martin Amado: "Of course, you have to add a comfy chair."
Martin Amado: "This is a rental apartment, so instead of spending the money by replacing the metal blinds, we’re just enhancing them by adding curtain panels right on top."
Martin Amado: "Gorgeous! I love using oversized clocks because it’s not only functional but it also becomes artwork on the wall."
Martin Amado: "Every desk needs a lamp and this one is beautiful."
Martin Amado: "So, I think we can eliminate the bags with the pencils and use an actual cup holder."
Martin Amado: "Final touch, some greenery, and we are done."
Martin Amado: "This morning we took an empty space and we transformed into a functional work area for the homeowner. It doesn’t look like a typical office environment and that’s the whole point.
