SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - A car has reportedly crashed into a house in Southwest Miami-Dade.

7Skyforce hovered above the home along the area of Southwest 208th Street and 121st Avenue, Tuesday, where a black Alfa Romeo SUV could be seen pressed against the home.

Oscar Bonilla said he was at work when he got a frantic phone call from his family saying a car had slammed into their home.

“It destroyed the house even inside,” said Bonilla. “Very, very bad.”

“It went right into the side of my aunt’s house,” said Natalie Ramirez.

Ramirez told 7News her cousin was sitting on the other side of a wall and was hit by it when it came crashing down.

“It crazy. It’s shocking,” said Ramirez.

Miami-Dade Police said he was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

“We’re just very relieved my cousin is OK, and it wasn’t worse than it is,” said Ramirez.

Witnesses said around 4:30 in the afternoon, the driver of the SUV was speeding westbound on Southwest 208th Street, when it collided with a car making a turn on 119th Court and it lost control, which caused the car to crash into the concrete wall and then into the home.

“I was just helping them out cleaning up glass, cleaning up debris that’s all over the kitchen, all over the living room. It’s just a complete mess in there,” said Ramirez.

Carlos Luzuriaga said he and his wife were in the car that was hit by the SUV before it slammed into the house. He said they’re pretty banged up but overall doing OK.

They’re just a few several people that were caught in the chaos but all are thankful to be alive.

“We’re really a bit traumatized, but thankfully we’re doing a lot better, and it could have been a lot worse,” said Ramirez.

Police said the owner of the SUV was not injured and stayed on the scene.

Police continue to investigate what led up to the crash.
