FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (WSVN) - Travel between the United States and Cuba will be seeing a historic change Wednesday.
JetBlue will make the first commercial flight between the United States and Cuba since 1961.
The flight will depart from Fort Lauderdale and land in the central Cuban city of Santa Clara.
Washington D.C. and Havana agreed in February to restore commercial flights between the countries after diplomatic relations were restored last year.
Fort Lauderdale and Miami are two of just six U.S. airports that will be carrying commercial flights to and from the island.
