PLANTATION KEY, Fla. (WSVN) — A manatee is on the road to recovery, two days after it was found injured in the Florida Keys.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission responded to reports of an injured manatee near a Plantation Key dock, Saturday. The group noticed that the animal, who could not swim or use its left fin, had paint and a recent scar on its back.
The manatee was transported to the Miami Seaquarium for evaluation and treatment.
